What is a Stretch Mark?
According to the website, https://www.aad.org
” A stretch mark is a scar that develops when our skin stretches or shrinks quickly. Because of the abrupt change causes the collagen and elastin, which support our skin, to rupture. As the skin heals, stretch marks may appear.”

My first experience with Stretch Mark was in my early teenage years. As an adolescent, growing at a rapid rate. I was extra observant with body image. I noticed that my body was stretching and wondered what caused it. Moreover, it was just part of the growing phase. As I grew older and learned more about body image, I accepted my stretch mark as it was. Although, I would prefer smoother skin with no intrusion from the stretch mark. It did not bother me until I gave birth to my first child. That is where I became critical of my skin and my whole body image. I did not know what to do and what product to use. In the year 2007 when I experimented with different skincare products aimed to target stretch marks. None of the products worked. I will not be mentioning the name and brand of products.
A few years later, after my third child. I choose to give Palmer’s product a try to see how well it would work with my over-child-bearing stretched-out body. Over the past year, I have been CONSISTENTLY using these products, along with the stretch mark shea butter and dry skin oil, and it has aided in the appearance of how my body looks.
As time progress, I find that I no longer obsess about how my stretch mark but rather use is as a reminder of all the pain and hard work I experienced trying to bring another human life to earth.
