This post will comprise Hair Care tips and hacks. The information shared are based on a personal experience of my hair care journey. For years, I have been on a journey to grow long, healthy and beautiful hair. As a woman of colour, the struggle to grow my hair has been a love and hate, with many trials and errors.

Some of the post will be of products for natural textured hair, deep conditioners, different brands, a few D.I.Y’s and much more. A brief history of my hair journey. When I was a little girl, growing back in the country of Nigeria. I’ve always admired women with longer hair. I had believed that when I grew older, I would have had hair down to my behind. Who was I kidding. Reality sets in and that was not the expected dream that I once hoped for.
I had no hair when I was about Nine years young. My aunt, whom I lived with, was keen on me having shorter hair, just as the little boys did. Her reason was because it was easier to maintain and perhaps she did not have the time to be caring for me and my hair. Fast forward to age eleven when I had finally moved to a much different country. I was excited to see how I would care for my hair, but with no knowledge and patience, I cave along with my guardian to have the boy low cut. Throughout my elementary and highschool, my hair was in a boyish low cut. This affected my self-esteem and how my peers viewed me. I hated who I was and the fact that I could not stand the boyish look.
Now, as an adult, some days I still struggle with the way I look. However, that is another post for another day. I enjoy taking care of my hair and having longer hair and this is why I have dedicate the past 4 years of learning and re-learning how to LOVE and take care of my Coily, Kinky Strands even with all the knot and tangles that comes along with it.
Moreover , wit my all that said, Welcome and hope to see you share your hair experience.
