My Current K-Beauty Routine for Glowing Skin (Dry + Sensitive Skin Approved)

I started paying attention to skincare back in 2018 but K-beauty didn’t really enter my life heavily until earlier this year, even though I had been aware of it since last year. And honestly? I wish I hadn’t waited. Once I went all in, my skin completely changed. Especially as someone with dry, sensitive skin who had tried so many things that just didn’t work.

K-beauty isn’t just a trend to me. It’s the first time skincare has actually made sense for my skin type. The philosophy of gentle, layered care instead of harsh treatments and that’s what my skin needed all along. Less irritation, more glow.
This is my current routine. Real products, real results, no fluff.

A Little About My Skin

My skin runs dry to combination, dry in most areas but with a little activity in my T-zone. It’s also on the sensitive side, which means I’ve had to be careful about what I put on my face. Harsh ingredients, heavy fragrances, anything too stripping and my skin will let me know immediately.
K-beauty works for me because it’s built around a philosophy of gentle, layered care rather than aggressive treatments. Less irritation, more glow.

The Products I’m Currently Using

  1. Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil
I started with a sample of this and honestly it converted me immediately. Cleansing oils used to scare me because I thought they’d clog my pores or leave my skin greasy. This one does neither. It melts away makeup and sunscreen without stripping my skin, and the centella calms everything down. My skin feels soft, not tight, after cleansing. That’s rare for me.

2. Anua Heartleaf + LHA Moisture Peeling Gel

Exfoliation used to be my enemy. Most scrubs left my sensitive skin red and irritated. The Anua Heartleaf Peeling Gel changed that. It’s one of those satisfying peel-off style exfoliants that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin but effective enough that I actually see a difference. My skin looks brighter and feels smoother after using this. I use it 2-3 times a week and it’s become a non-negotiable in my routine.

3.Beauty of Joseon Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel

Yes, I have two peeling gels. No, I’m not sorry. The Beauty of Joseon one has a slightly different texture. it’s softer and more nourishing, which I love for days when my skin needs extra gentleness. The apricot blossom extract gives it this beautiful subtle scent and leaves my skin feeling plump. I alternate between this and the Anua depending on how my skin is feeling that day.

4. Some By Mi AHA.BHA.PHA 30 Days Miracle Acne Clear Body Cleanser

Okay can we talk about body skincare for a second? Because we don’t talk about it enough. I started using this Some By Mi body cleanser and my skin felt so soft, like I’m genuinely shocked at how smooth my skin felt after just a few uses. It has AHA, BHA and PHA acids which sounds intense but it’s actually gentle enough for daily use. I went through my bottle so fast I’m already out and need to restock. That says everything.

5. Haruharu Wonder Pure Mineral Relief Daily Sunscreen SPF50+

Sunscreen used to be the step I skipped. White cast, heavy texture, that weird smell umm, no thanks. The Haruharu Wonder sunscreen converted me into a daily SPF person. It’s a pure mineral formula that sits beautifully under makeup or alone, with no white cast. For sensitive skin this is a game changer because mineral sunscreen is so much gentler than chemical formulas.

6. Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Cleansing Oil

Yes, another Haruharu Wonder and they’ve earned their spot twice in my routine. The Black Rice Cleansing Oil is my evening double cleanse step. It’s unscented which is perfect for sensitive skin, and the black rice extract is packed with antioxidants. My skin drinks this up. It rinses clean without residue and leaves everything feeling nourished and ready for the rest of my routine.

Final Thoughts

If you have dry or sensitive skin and you’ve been curious about K-beauty, this is your sign. These products are gentle, effective, and honestly affordable compared to a lot of Western skincare brands. My skin has never looked better and I’ve never felt more consistent with a routine.
The Some By Mi body cleanser alone is worth trying. Trust me, your skin will thank you.
